I’ve been fairly disconnected from all things Ron Paul lately, but the American Conservative Magazine reports some interesting news:

Apparently, Ron Paul’s plan to stick with the presidential race for the purpose of gathering support and changing GOP policy is working at the grassroots level.

Bob Barr is by no means perfect. But clearly he is preferrable to any of the 3 possibilities for President still in the race. He supported thw war in Iraq initially but has since backed away. He has stated that his biggest mistake in congress was voting for the Patriot Act.

I have met him on at least 4 different occasions. He was my congressman from 1995-2003, and I voted for him each time he ran. I will vote for him this November if he is the LP candidate.

Barr/Paul. Has a nice ring to it.
