I’ve taken a couple week break from writing, obviously, and I know you’ve missed me. Even though Friday is my designated day, sometimes I just get a feeling from the Lord that I’m not supposed to write anything, so sometimes I just don’t.
Today, I came across this comment at Mike Frizzell’s blog:
It all gets back to sin and culture in the end. Dancing is a sin, because it is immodest behavior, and the bible commands modesty (like all of God’s laws, to glorify God (which should increase our joy)). Christians are commanded to take dominion over culture, not to conform to it; we’re to conform to Christ. The Christian culture is based on obedience, and dominion is exercised by that obedience. It is one of the tools that God has given us to glorify him (and of course, he’s given us the Holy Spirit to enable us to obey him).

Mike says he might comment on it later. I don’t know what comment there is to make other than, “Amen.” I mean, isn’t it clear? If it’s in our culture, it’s sin, because our culture is not currently Christian, and if it’s not Christian, it’s sin. It seems so obvious, I can’t even believe there’d be a discussion about it. Just goes to show how apostate everyone has become these days, how lax in their judgment, and how willing to allow themselves to be taken in by the wiles of the devil.

In that same comment section I linked to, someone said Christians shouldn’t be having conversations that aren’t about Jesus. Amen to that too.
