Kevin Johnson has fired up Coffee Conversations again, and he’s got a new post up about talking about God over a beer, which is a good way to talk about God, in my opinion. The fellow Dark Beer-lover says:
I then tell them [unbelievers in a bar] I have such a high regard for the beverage that I can only see it coming from a divine source. How else can you explain it? And, the man who doesn’t believe in God really can’t explain something as incredible as beer and its existence.
Amen, Kevin. This is why guys like Joe Thorn do Theology Pub. I got one started here and ran it for a few months, and then having a baby got in the way. I got a call from one of my friends last night - “Hey, Travis, we haven’t done Theology Pub in a while. We gotta get that going again.” Indeed we do.
